2005 Christmas Card

My mom needed a Christmas card so we whipped together some pictures for her to use. Look at all of the Schneider (and Ness) girls!

Where are the trees?

The trees aren't planted yet but each of those hundreds of stakes were measured and pounded in by hand. Also note that steep slop, carrying steel stakes up and down that was WORK! Ir was fun! 

You can't lead a tree to water...

Here Maren is helping the poor thirsty olive treeling by attaching the irrigation wire to the stake. Go Maren! Only 879 trees to go... 

Pull HARD!

Maren and I spent a weekend planting olive trees! A co-worker sees olive farming as a good retirement activity. We're a long way from retirement but we enjoyed helping him out anyway. In this picture I am pulling the wire that holds up an irrigation line.
